OUR HEALTH & SAFETY GOALS

Protect the health and safety of the staff, guests, and community.

Implement a recovery plan that is flexible, adaptive and creative, allowing the GWCC to continue to be a partner in creating experiences with meeting planners, guests, partners, and the community.

Leverage GWCC's physical and human resources to assist the community response and recovery when possible.

The health and safety of our employees and guests is our number one priority. Grand Wayne Convention Center uses UV-C cleaning systems, products and protocols which meet EPA guidelines and are approved for use and effective against viruses, bacteria and other airborne and blood-borne pathogens. We are working with our vendors, distribution partners and suppliers to ensure an uninterrupted supply of these cleaning supplies and the necessary PPE.

Health Safety 1

UV-C AIRSTREAM DISINFECTION.

Our powerful 360-degree UV-C airstream disinfection system destroys, inactivates, and neutralizes airborne viruses, pathogens, and microbes to mitigate disease transmission throughout the facility. The UV process is efficient and clean, producing no VOCs, chemicals, or ozone.

Public Spaces and Communal Areas. 

The frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has been increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces including, but not limited to, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, ATMs, escalator and stair handrails, seating areas.

Physical Distancing. 

Throughout Grand Wayne Convention Center, we will meet or exceed state and local health authority guidelines on proper physical distancing.

Queuing. 

Any area where guests or employees queue will be clearly marked for appropriate physical distancing.

Meeting and Convention Spaces

Meeting and banquet set-up arrangements will allow for physical distancing between guests in all meetings and events based on CDC and state recommendations. Self-serve buffet style food service will be suspended and replaced by alternative service styles.
