Fort Wayne, Indiana’s Grand Wayne Convention Center earns National and State Awards

FEBRUARY 1, 2025, Fort Wayne, Indiana — Grand Wayne Convention Center (GWCC) in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, received two notable award recognitions on the national and state level, based on event planners’ nominations.

The national recognition is a 2024 Best of Convention Centers Award presented by Meetings Today Magazine based on an independent polling of event planners from across the U.S. identifying their top choice event venues and destinations. Award nomination criteria for meeting facilities include: quality of meeting space, guest rooms, guest services and amenities, food and beverage service, efficiency and helpfulness of staff, availability and quality of technology, recreational facilities and activities, cleanliness, and overall value and experience. Award criteria for destinations is the overall service the destination provides planners for their meetings and events. This is the third consecutive year that Grand Wayne Convention Center has earned the “Best Of” award. The state recognition is a 2024 Individual Supplier of the Year STAR Award presented by the Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) to Meagan Drabik, sales manager for Grand Wayne Convention Center. ISAE’s annual awards recognize association professionals and suppliers who have made outstanding achievements and contributions toward ISAE’s mission of providing support, education, and connectivity for association event planners and professionals. ISAE’s STAR Awards — an acronym for Society’s Top Association Recognition — is Indiana’s first awards program dedicated to honoring association managers and vendors and also serves as a charitable fundraiser for a chosen nonprofit organization.
