FORT WAYNE, INDIANA
Grand Wayne Convention Center — a premier Midwest meeting and convention facility located in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana — announces the appointment of Marissa Best in the Center’s newly created role of Guest Experience Manager, a position designed to engage clients with unique, concierge amenities. Best, formerly with Oakwood Resort in Syracuse, Indiana, steps into this role to guarantee client satisfaction and ensure that guest needs are met at a “beyond expectation” level. Key areas of focus include guest safety, service delivery, event presentation, guest engagement, and community interaction.
As the Guest Experience Manager, Best will engage with the planner, staff, community partners and guests in creating an experience unique to each group. The role focuses on event attendees, ensuring their safety and satisfaction, from customized guest evacuation policies to personalized digital signage.
The Guest Experience position is unique to the Grand Wayne Convention Center and a new concept for the industry. It is an additional resource offered to all clients to help transform their meetings, conferences, and conventions into exceptional experiences, and is another way the Center is setting the standard among event facilities.
“Our goal here at the Grand Wayne Convention Center is to provide an environment that focuses on exceptional safety and service for our guests,” said Bart Shaw, Executive Director of Grand Wayne Convention Center. “With the addition of our Guest Experience Manager, we believe we will continue to raise the standard for excellence in guest service and events.
